Casting Call – Seeking Performer of Japanese Descent for Top Girls
 
The Elgin Theatre Guild is currently casting for our upcoming production of Top Girls by Caryl Churchill, and we are seeking a performer of Japanese descent to portray the character Lady Nijo.

About the Role – Lady Nijo:
Lady Nijo is based on a real 13th-century Japanese woman who served as a concubine to the Emperor before later becoming a wandering Buddhist nun. In the play’s opening dinner scene, she shares the story of her life and the challenges she faced in society. The character brings humor, vulnerability, and insight to one of the play’s most memorable scenes.

• Experience: Theatre experience welcome but not required
